Air conditioning is no longer a luxury as it is fitted to over 80% of new cars in the last 2 years and approx. 60% over the last 10 years which makes for a comfortable and safe car.

The pro’s of aircon are: constant even temp, cool air on hot days without the windows open allowing a quiet and comfortable journy, happier kids in the back, faster defrost on cold mornings, good for allergy’s and hayfever/asma suffers as over 80% of dust and pollen is trapped and not allowed to enter the car, no exhaust fumes when stuck in traffic to name just a few.

Like all other working parts of your vehicle the aircon system needs regular servicing to maintain its efficiency and also its reliability. A regular service will keep it working at maximum efficiency which means less time to cool, less fuel to burn and less chance of pump failure due to lack of oil or water content.

We offer two types of service, a basic regas which involves removing your old gas, vacuuming the pipes to check for leaks, a nitrogen leak test under pressure, warming of the pipes to remove all moisture then new gas, leak detecting dye and compressor oil are filled to the manufacturers recommended amount and then the car is checked for correct operation. This takes approximately 1 hour sometimes a little more, not 15-20 mins like some claim to be able to do it in.

The second service includes the above but with new condenser and filter. This depends on vehicle but is usually between 30-55 pounds extra, please ask for a quote.
